The second month of this story blog has come to a close. Sadly, there were zero votes, as if a silent petition not to do a monthly update on what's happening. This one will be brief. I promise.
November was a very somber month, and although many writers around the country [and world right?] may have taken part in the Nation Novel-writing month, which I of course did not take part in because this blog here is my writing project, and it already has become the longest written single piece since the collaboration of all my stories I wrote prior to high school. [That one was massive], but eventually scratch will become the longest running story I have written. But November was a lot slower than October. I hope that December rebounds a bit.
I am happy to announce that the number of views of this blog are directly related to the posts. Though I still have no idea why one of the traffic sites is a Russian furniture website. According to the stats page I review on my blog, November had 275 views. I have decided to stop counting the different countries that have viewed this blog, as there are many ways to rig that system. [For some reason I felt like someone was cheating, and then silently laughing when I kept celebrating the massive amounts of different countries reading my blog on bi-weekly basis at that]. In heart, I feel for all my readers who keep reader, but remain ominously silent. November had only 9 posts, and October had 12. [Even though the last November chapter was chapter 15], that means... almost half of those 9 posts were not chapters. We ended October with a bang in Chapter ten, and so we only got 5 chapters out! That is kind of sad on my part. We had issues with my Saturday's being filled up, and forgetting to post on Wednesday [and then later making up an excuse]~
Still, either way, I will do the simple ratio to see if my reader base is accumulating: At 10 actual chapters with 313 views, and 5 chapters at 275, the decrease of number of views from October to December is 38. So I can feel good about what I've been doing, despite feeling bad about making all my female characters cry. What's wrong with me huh? I just dig into their emotions and make them all sad...I'm a terrible person.
Don't worry, I promise you an exciting conclusion to this first plot line. Currently the blueprints only detail 21 chapters. Chapter 17 will be posted on Saturday. Finals are coming up, which means that soon, I will be free from school in till January. I plan on finishing up the "Two Domes" arc before the new year, so I can have a new year, new approach idea~
So much for being brief. Well. Take care. I hope you all have a wonderful winter.
